I feel like this may be a very stupid question, but are some signs (tourist attractions, train station names etc) in English? In most countries I can just learn the word for museum or take a glance at a station name and know where I am, but with Japanese it is very unfamiliar characters, so I’m not convinced I’ll be able to do that. I know Google Translate is good, but I don’t want to be using it on every sign I pass as I wander around or I’ll never get anywhere!
