I just spent the last 2.5 weeks in Hokkaido touring off the beaten path and 🏂 on 4 different mountains. Every town has been pretty quiet and dead with little food/shopping options but we'll be driving from Kushiro (steam train ride) to Sapporo very soon. Is there any food/shopping recommendations on the drive that we should look out for in Kushiro or Furano or Toyokoro? Ive been checking out whatever comes up Google Maps. Forest Restaurant was on our list to try but its a nuisance having to hang around the middle of nowhere til 6pm for an overrated 5000Y buffet… any other ideas???
