A year ago now, I finished my time on JET (2 years). I didn't want to leave and would have stayed all 5 years, but an urgent family situation needed me back in my home country. The issue is now resolved… and I deeply, deeply miss Japan. I miss my work as a JTE. I'm absolutely miserable here (in my home country).
So, I'm considering reapplying to JET. Technically, I still have 3 years before I hit that 5 year maximum… I keep trying to convince myself that reapplying is a stupid idea, but… clearly I don't honestly think so.
I was wondering if anyone else has re-applied/done JET twice? How did it work out for you?
