So I've been living in Japan and studying japanese for a little more than 1 and a half years now, my japanese level is at what I'd call conversational fluency, I don't have any problem in conversations, I can watch anime without subtitles without any problem (there are of course words here and there I dont know, but in general), I listen to japanese podcasts all the time and so on. I've always had a knack for language and picking things up quickly, and my wife being japanese and speaking mostly japanese at home has obviously boosted my learning rate.
I have one massive issue though, I cant read kanji for shit, and I have no idea what study method I should use to get better at it and would love some tips on methods to get my kanji good at a rapid pace. I want to be able to read novels, manga, newspapers etc. Basically not feel like a child when it comes to reading.
For an example on where I'm at reading wise, I recently did the JLPT N3 and passed but I did feel at my limit reading wise (specifically because of kanji), whilst I think I would be able to pass N2 without any major issue I just cant read enough kanji to actually know what I'm looking at.
