Seeking Advice on International Schools in Tokyo (Minato Area)

We have recently started planning our relocation to Tokyo this summer, as my husband has been offered a four-year work contract. We have begun exploring different school and kindergarten options for our children, who will be turning six and four this summer.

So far, Tokyo International School, The British School in Tokyo, and the Montessori School seem the most interesting to us, as we will be living in Minato, close to Arisugawa-no-miya Memorial Park.

We are both Norwegian citizens, and our children have just started English lessons this week. They are quick learners, but at this stage they would not be able to pass a formal English language assessment.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to visit the schools in person, so we are relying on the information available online. If anyone could share first-hand experiences with any of these schools, we would be very grateful.

Regarding the Montessori School, our main concern is that there does not appear to be an upper limit on the percentage of Japanese students, which makes us wonder whether it is truly international in its student composition. As for The British School in Tokyo, our concern is quite straightforward: how strict is their language proficiency requirement for admission?
