(Until it’s clear that both guys have left NJPW, if I’m watching AEW I’ll fill you in on anything particularly interesting that Clark and Gabe are doing.)
Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong def Daniel Garcia, Clark Connors
-
Garcia and Mox came out first.
-
Excalibur referred to “the Dogs, Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors,” as people AEW fans have seen “as mercenaries for Death Riders”
-
Clark came out with a new look and new music which was made by AEW’s in-house producer Mikey Rukus.
-
Roddy, who has spent months doing a “I don’t know about this” thing about joining The Conglomeration, finally hopped off the apron instead of making a tag and left. There was a couple minutes of Garcia and Clark double teaming OC, until Darby Allin came out of the crowd to attack Clark. Darby and Clark disappeared, OC and Danny got back in the ring, classic OC come from behind/surprise win.
Small note: They showed another Ospreay road to recovery video package and the Japanese flag with well-wishes written on it that local fans gave him when he left NJPW was hung on his wall in the background.
Other minor note: Historic X-Over competitor/technically unofficial War Dogs member Thekla won the Women’s World title.
Update- ROH Spoilers:* A TMDK team of Shane Haste, Bad Dude Tito, and Che Cabrera faced SkyFlight’s Scorpio Sky and Dante & Darius Martin. Haven’t seen reports on who won yet. All the TMDK guys are talent local to the area; but depending on when this airs it could potentially be a tie in to a Robbie Eagles appearance on Saturday’s Collision or Sunday’s house show which are in Australia.
