I am 18M, British 🇬🇧,
So I’m trying to attend a university prep language school in Fukuoka for October this year, I actually went to the school in person and spoke to them about how to apply etc.
One of the teachers sat me down and explained everything to me, he spoke very little English so we was mostly talking in Japanese, however I am only about low-N4 level with no JLPT or 150hour which are my main concerns for getting rejected by immigration.
When I asked him if I needed either of these he thought about it hard for a minute or two and then told me I’d be fine and I don’t need the N5 certificate or 150hour course. He handed me all the application papers and gave me his business card and told me that once I returned to the UK please fill everything out asap and email him my documents.
I am still slightly concerned as I know he said I’d be fine but I’m aware immigration can be quite strict with these things, and I’m unable to take the JLPT or finish course in time for October.
I also have seen people say that if you’re from a “white listed” country such as UK, it may be a bit more lax regarding my issue.
Anyways please let me know your opinions, I would really appreciate it and don’t fry me for no reason😭
