How to travel with a Bycicle?

Hi all, I'm thinking to have a short trip and cycle when I get there, but I want to carry my road bike.
Does anyone know if that's doable?
As far as I can read express buses don't alow a bicycle as luggage, and trains too. Only option I can think of is to send it to my hotel with Yamato, but there must be a better solution.

Thanks for the suggestion, I guess I'll disassemble the whes amd use a bag.
