Hi! I’m 24 years old and I’m currently a 社員(full-time employee). I’ve been living in Japan for over 7 years, and a couple of weeks ago I got a job in Tokyo near Tanashi Station. I’ve been looking for an apartment for almost two weeks, but none of the real estate agencies seem willing to help me.
I had an online meeting with one agency, but every apartment I liked (and even the ones the guy suggested) didn’t allow foreigners — even though some of those places weren’t that great. I’ve moved more than like five times within Japan, and this is the first time it’s been this difficult.
Is Tokyo more racist than other areas?
Either way, I’d really appreciate it if someone could recommend a fudōsan that can help me find a place that doesn’t ban gaijin.
