Hello all, backstory, my GF and I visited okinawa last sunmer but only for 4 days. We did a day trip snorkeling excursion one and the remaining 3 stayed based in naha rented a car and drove the entire island hitting all the major attractions (onna, american village, cape manza, pineapple park, etc. We felt rushed in stopping and seeing everything. This summer we plan to stay for 6 days. 2 days to stay and reexplore the main island. 2 days ferries from naha to kerama and tokashiki to day snorkel. The dilemma is with the other 3 nights.
Originally we planned on doing miyakojima for the beaches, but from YT videos outside of the beaches the island seems kind of underwhelming and desolate. Enter Ishigaki. Im looking for honest nonbiased opinions about which would be the better bet. Ishigaki looks alittle more populated and built up. I feel any of the beaches in okinawa are breathtaking. Is that all miyakojima has to offer? Hence we will be doing day trips to snorkel to the kerama islands. Activities for us all include waterfalls/ nature/and novice hiking. Thanks in advance for the advice!
