Question about Nitori single mattress compatibility with US twin size deep sheets

I understand the US twin and Nitori standard are the same width (38 inches), however, Nitori’s length is a few inches longer (~78 inches to US 75). The Nitori single is also 8 inches deep.

We have a lot of nice twin bedding at home that I’d love my husband bring over. Many, if not all, are compatible with deep mattresses (the Nitori is thin). I’m wondering if the significant excess sheet fabric for the depth (7-10 inches of excess) will allow some give on the 3-inch shortage of length. (I know the foot of the bed may be wrinkly or taut. I’m not too worried about that as blankets will cover it. Would love to save $$ and use comforts from home.)

AI is telling me it will work. But does anyone have experience with this working? We are trying to avoid him having to ship a sheet over to test! Thank you!
