Some mentions of New Japan during the Royal Rumble today (Spoilers for the show, for those who watch)

There was a recap from the commentary team about AJ Style's career, noting how he joined "New Japan Pro Wrestling" for a brief moment.

After a lariat from from Gunther Mid Match, they said Gunther's ring style was reminiscent of wrestling decades back, and Michael Cole said, "Think about Stan Hansen".

Gunther made AJ pass out, resulting in AJ's career to be over. (I'm still waiting to see if this was a work or a shoot, because I still have a bit of doubt that AJ would end his career in Saudi).
