Wanted to get a reality check on my chances.
I'm a process control automation engineer with just over 6 years of experience in the field. Got a university degree, and my overall background is around 9–10 years — still in automation, just slightly different areas. i work at a big oil and gas company, and i like to think I'm pretty sharp.
The one thing I'm not great at is Japanese, but I'm learning.
I've been thinking would it be worth trying to find work in Japan? Does it make sense to even try? Are engineers in demand there?
Sorry if this is completely out of left field — just wanted to ask!
