We are going to Japan for 10 days and want to buy a few things. We will be in Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara and then back to Tokyo; taking the Shinkansen. We love the teapots/plates and might try to buy a few heavier items. AND we are aiming to pack light. A carry-on suitcase with a backpack. We are hoping to lean on the laundry services available in our hotels.
So what’s the best plan to get things home? I have considered shipping a package from each location. But that looks expensive. I’ve also thought of getting a few zipping duffles, using a luggage shipper to get items to our final hotel. And buying one piece of checked luggage for the flight home. That isn’t cheap either. Is there a smart plan? Or should I just bite the bullet and expect some expense
And if you want to tell me wonderful ceramic stores or brands in Tokyo or Kyoto I won’t hate that. 🙂
