Future PR aplication concerns

Hi everyone, this is a question for the veterans. I know this is still a few years in the future, but I just want to voice my concerns about my eventual PR application.

So just to give a bit of backstory, I've been in Japan for about a year and a half. In the first year I came on a working holiday visa, mainly because I met my now wife abroad and decided to come here to continue our relationship (we were already planning to marry). When my first visa was ending, we decided to marry, mainly because my job hunt was difficult with that visa at the time. So we changed to a spouse visa and I was given a one year one. It seems to be the trend that after that they give you a longer one, but it's still kinda random.

At the beginning I was pretty poor. My wife had a full time job already lined up by the time we came back, but I could only get a pretty poorly paying part time job. Then I got a second one which stabilized my income, and now I finally found a professional job (thankfully).

But at the very beginning I opted out of the pension because that job just wasn't paying me enough. When I went to the city hall to explain my situation, they gave me that option. After getting the second part time job, I paid the pension I was basically ignoring in one go. It was pretty stupid, I get it. I didn't want to worry my wife, and now that I'm going to start a proper job I'm going to restart the pension (still gotta figure out how that works).

I'm planning to live here in the foreseeable future with my wife, which means I'll probably apply for PR after my renewed spouse visa ends, maybe in 4 to 6 years depending on the new visa duration.

So the BIG question: do you guys think they'll check this fumble I made in the beginning and go “nah this guy doesn't deserve it” and trap me forever in renewal visa hell?

Sorry for the long post guys, just voicing my concerns.
