How is Koto-ku Toyosu for family living?

Out of various areas that our family is considering to purchase a manshion at for our family to settle in, Toyosu is one of it. We are not looking at any of the luxury manshion which I assume how the image the public has for Toyosu. In fact we are looking at a 40 years old manshion. Our next in line is in Shinagawa-ku near Ooimachi btw.

But putting that aside, we believe that visiting Toyosu 1 or 2 times will be different than living there permanently, so we are seeking some opinions from those more experienced.

From our very basic impressions, the streets are wide, a lot of shops until midnight, schools for kids are within reasonable reach, hospital too, walk a bit and reach Aeon at Shinonome, Toyosu station itself is within reach from all the manshions around it. But we somehow have a feeling that all those are only within Toyosu "island", nothing beyond that. Also, I go to office at Chuo-ku but no idea at all about morning rush, but looks reachable by bicycle distance wise.

What are your thoughts about Toyosu for family?
