Hey there! I'm trying to learn the language, and dabbled in online platforms like duolingo, but it didn't seem to work for me. I also looked into language schools, but it's not really possible since I do have to work 9-6 on weekdays.
I wanted some suggestions on books I can get, that deal mostly with vocabulary and just basic speaking. I'm not looking to get super advanced in the language, but just enough so that I could use it for conversation here and there.
There's a lot of books that show up when I search for "learn Japanese", but I wanted to confirm if there are certain books that are recognized for being good.
