I bought a condo that will be used by myself (I hold PR in Japan; giving family home to wife).
It's a cheapo and a bachelor-sized unit – so not very large or complex to manage, generally.
It's wired for cable but not high-speed fibre optical cable, and I don't have the ability to request the condo board spend ¥ to rewire the building.
I'd like to buy a couple of Wifi plugs in order to remotely turn on / off & adjust air conditioning for mold reasons and lighting / security.
I have Docomo Ahamo for cell data use in Japan, but now I'm researching remote options for when I'm overseas for periods supporting family (elderly parents & one child studying overseas).
Does anyone have any recommendations for cable internet, LAN router, and Wifi plugs?
