Advice on 2 days in Kyoto
Will be visiting Japan soon with my partner and will have 2 day trips into Kyoto (base in Osaka).
Is the below current itenary ok or is it too packed. Appreciate any advice. We can also potentially make it 3 day trips if it'll smooth things out
Day 1: East Kyoto
– Start at kiyomizudera where we'll have kimono rental at 830am and will have photographer near there. Afterwards we'll explore kiyomizudera and have breakfast/lunch there.
– head to Ginkakuji temple via taxi then explore.
– walk down philosophers path
– taxi to Fushimi Inari shrine (ideally before 5pm to return kimono at shop near there) and explore
Day 2: West Kyoto
– Visit Nishiki fish market
– Visit Kyoto Manga Museum
– go to Arashima and explore the temples and bamboo forest
– Visit Kinkakuji
Would the above be viable or would we be too rushed on one of those days?
We could potentially have a 3rd Day in Kyoto as we have 1 flex day while on Osaka side before we go back to Tokyo.
Appreciate any advice & let us know if we missed anything you'd consider a highlight to visit! If theres enough we may use our 3rd flex day to flesh it out.
