Current business manager visa holder (qualified with the old rules). It’s a one year visa that’s been renewed twice.
thought I’d switch to PR to avoid the new business manager reqs
Just returned from the immigration office in Tachikawa where I learned that the fast track point system PR path described on this website (https://www.moj.go.jp/isa/applications/resources/newimmiact_3_qa.html) doesn’t apply. The only path from business manager to permanent resident is to switch to the new HSP business manager type visa first.
Has anyone had any experience moving from business manager to permanent resident without first changing to HSP visa?
edit: clarified that the current business manager visa is a one year, not three or five years.
