  2. I thought all these tariffs were supposed to bring manufacturing flooding back to the US so they would have excess capacity themselves. Is this an admission that hasn’t happened and the tariffs have had the opposite effect 🤔

  6. Looks like the Trump Temple in DC is tired of playing war. Now they’re back to finding new ways to alienate the few allies they have left.

  8. Japan is the biggest investor in the US, the largest exporter amongst foreign firms (4% of total exports), the top manufacturing employer for 16 yrs running, and there are 1,600 Japan-affiliated firms operating in all 50 states. But, yeah, ignore all that and fuck with Japan.

  16. We know that the only thing another country can expect from US is betrayal. This is what Japan is getting for accepting the US terms.
