Apartment Move-out question

Hi guys, so I just want to ask for advice.

I live in a 2 storey apartment.

The apartment is pet friendly, and the landlord knows I have a cat because I send them picture for documentation.

So I will move out this year.

And many parts of the wallpaper was scratched by my cat.

I was thinking of replacing the wallpaper before I move out so they wont charge me TOO much for it.

Or should I just leave it scratched and let them do the math?

Because I heard that some landlords charged too much.
