I feel like he was such a unique character in new Japan, I believe he was starting to become the evil that the fans wanted to see be successful. One of my favorite Kenta matches was in the G1 when he beat the holy hell out of ELP for 15 minutes strait outside of the ring and the second he throws him in and the bell rings ELP rolls him up for a win and the crowd went fucking crazy. Like how many people could put on a match that’s 3 seconds long and give your opponent a massive pop.
Dude had so much potential and I really miss him. Would love to see him go to AEW and become a death rider though. Feels like he’d fit well in there as long as he stayed the hell away from the Don callis family.
