We moved into our townhouse in August and live on the second/top floor. A few months later a couple moved in below us. We barely see them outside. We live a normal life, but I am a large human and I’m sure my footsteps are heavier than most. At random times, sometimes mid day, sometimes evening or night, we will hear thumps from below even by a simple gesture of opening our closet after a shower or grabbing something from the bedroom. I guess my question is, is this normal compared to leaving a note or mentioning something to us directly? We don’t want to be assholes about it, but now it’s just getting annoying. Tonight was the point where I decided to post here. I was cleaning around 4-5pm, putting away laundry and just walking from the balcony to our bedroom, hanging clothes and doing my thing. Every time I walked into my room, thump thump thump like clockwork. We’re trying to be respectful, but also just living our lives.
