Just arrived here and my plan was to catch a train to my accomodation. However, about a day before the trip i was on my period and the first 2 days are usually horribly painful for me so i thought ill just get a taxi from the airport and rest at the hotel instead of getting on the train on the first day.
i searched on the information screen how much a taxi would be and it said something like 29,000.
when i went to the taxi rank and was about to book an uber online, a guy came upto me as said he’ll take me. first i said no it’s okay im booking an uber. he told me he can take me for 30,000 and i ended up saying yes.
did i get scammed or is it just cause of the petrol prices going up due to the war situation, and it being a 1 hour ride?
EDIT: Because in Australia a one hour taxi ride would probably be close to $150. But this was $266 AUD.
