Hi all, I’m looking for some advice or to connect with parents in a similar boat. My daughter is 6, and despite my best intentions to have her speaking English by age 4, her vocabulary is still very basic.
My wife doesn't speak English, so I’m the only source of immersion at home, which clearly isn't enough. I’ve looked into international schools here in Shinjuku, but the tuition is just a massive hurdle. I’ve tried approaching other international parents in the neighborhood, but we often run into a language barrier (I can't speak French and Russian for example).
Is anyone else the 'solo' English speaker in their household? How are you creating a practice environment without breaking the bank on international schooling?
