Hey guys! I’m looking for advice as i unfortunately had my phone stolen last night. I went to a small party in shinjuku and a super drunk girl fell near me. i helped her up along with another guy and ended up having my stuff falling and picked up along with hers. I was able to retrieve my purse but my phone was taken before i realized it. i have no way to call anyone on my old phone and even instagram is locked out since my 2FA is on my stolen phone so i can’t contact anybody😭
I already looked for it with staff at the event afterwards and filed a police report. today i remembered i have Find My on and was able to find the location BUT it’s at an apartment. When i went to the police again today they basically said they still couldn’t do anything even with the location. The person hasn’t tried to log in it seems(already have it on lost mode and it hasn’t been online yet) so they probably don’t even realize they took it. i’m wondering if i should just try to go to the apartment and ask them about it or if there’s a way for the police to help me go if i explain it was stolen and not lost, i’m seriously at a loss here
