No plans for Saturday? Hanami at Kamogawa Delta with drinks, music, and actual socializing 🌸

If you were going to do the usual “I should go outside and meet people in Kyoto sometime” thing, this is a decent chance.

We’re doing a hanami meetup at Kamogawa Delta on Saturday, April 4, and the idea is very simple: bring your own drinks/snacks, sit under the sakura, listen to music, and hang out with a mixed group of people.

It’s not a formal language exchange, and it’s not one of those stiff networking events. Just a relaxed spring meetup with locals, expats, travelers, friends-of-friends, etc. Spanish/Japanese/English are all welcome, but you do not need to speak any particular language to join.

Meeting point: Eizan Dentetsu Demachiyanagi Station, Exit 7

We meet at 14:00 and head to the delta at 14:10, but coming later is also fine.

Place: Kamogawa Delta

Style: BYO food/drinks

Only rule is: please take your trash home so we keep the river clean.
