Will vitiligo cause problems for studying or living in Japan?

Hi everyone,

I’m 23m male with vitiligo and I had a few questions about studying and living in Japan.

**First what is vitiligo?**

**Vitiligo is a harmless, non-contagious condition that causes white patches on the skin because of pigment loss.**

So my question is, has anyone with vitiligo ever had their Japan visa rejected because of their condition? If yes, what was the reason?

and

After moving to Japan, could vitiligo cause any problems in education or daily life? Are there any social challenges or things I should be aware of?

Japan is one of the best countries to study my subject, which is why I’m planning to go there. I’m serious about my studies and generally do well academically. I also have basic Japanese language skills (beginner level and i will start learning more when the time comes).

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences or advice. Thanks!
