Hi, so I moved in to Kyoto recently cuz I am attending a student exchange here and I was wondering whether anyone knows some good hair saloon where I could get my hair dyed? I think my previous hairdresser messed up as the color washed out too soon and unevenly. I'd like to get it fixed but I don't really know Kyoto that well yet and I am worried about just trying a random spot, because most saloons I came across (that had some reviews for colorful hairdye) were in pretty turistic areas like Gion and I am worried about overpaing there. I dye my (naturally brown, slightly wavy) hair a light shade of pastel pink (almost like sakura blossoms) so I don't really trust anyone with it as bleaching might be needed and since my hair has diferent texture than is usual for japanese people and a lot of red pigment even after bleaching which some hairdressers don't really know how to handle.
If you have any experience getting your hair dyed around here I would really appreciate any recommendations or tips. Even if you know a good brand of hair dye I could use at home I'm willing to try that before spending half my monthly stipend on a hairdresser.
