Does anyone know if it’s possible to apply for Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted (資格外活動許可) while waiting for a Change of Status of Residence to be processed?
For example, if someone is currently on an Instructor visa and applies to change to Specialist in Humanities, can they apply for the permission so they can start working while the visa change is still pending?
Has anyone here done this or know if immigration allows it in practice?
