\I’m currently writing this before watching the New Japan Cup Semi-Finals**
I think that Callum Newman is great and that he hasn’t been getting the flowers that he deserves for his current heel run. His role as a bitter, entitled and whiny heel who is dismissive about the ‘privileges’ and mentors that he had been given in his earlier career (maybe justifiably so)
I do think the wrist-kissing thing is a bit weird, but I do think that his current moveset is great and that he’s really improved when it comes to is matches. Promo-wise, I think he’s also really underrated, as he’s entertaining as heel as an insufferable and over-confident w**nker.
I mainly just hope that he’ll continue to get the opportunities thar he needs to grow, as by this point, I wouldn’t mind if he’s the one to beat Yuya Uemura in the tournament final. Maybe even giving him a manager would help him reach the next level. I wouldn’t even mind if Gedo were to turn heel again, it would fit Gedo’s past actions if he were to try and cash-in on Callum Newman and the rest of United Empire.
