Applying for WHV however been out of UK for 4 years

Hi!

I am a UK citizen however have been in Australia on temporary visas for the past 4 years. I am coming back to the UK in October for about a month to organise my Japan WHV. I hear that you must have bank statements showing activity for the past 3 months when you apply however I have no transactions in this period at all. Has anyone else been in a similar situation and are they strict on this requirement?
