I am 21 year old Indian starting a job in Japan (Aichi region) as an automobile engineer, and I wanted to get some perspective on whether this is a good offer.
- Monthly salary: ¥230,000
- Company housing provided
- Utilities: ~¥20,000/month (deducted from salary)
- Bonus: ~3 months salary annually
Given that housing is taken care of and only utilities are deducted, I’m wondering:
- Is this considered a good starting salary for someone in my field in Japan?
- Is it realistic to expect meaningful savings with this setup?
- Is Aichi relatively affordable compared to other places?
Would really appreciate honest insights
