Hi, I’m a 27F from Asia who will be visiting Okinawa for a few days in mid-May. I have hearing loss and I have a hearing aid and cochlear implant. I know I can’t scuba dive, but I’m really looking to try snorkelling since it would be such a waste to go there and not do so. My friend shared that hand signals are used to communicate underwater, so hearing shouldn’t be an issue, but I’ve looked up some Klook packages and among other conditions, they said those with ear conditions may not participate… just wondering if anyone knows any companies willing to make an exception / has any experience snorkelling with hearing loss! Would appreciate any recommendations. I can swim.
I’m looking at the Kerama Islands, or anything accessible from Naha’s port. Preferably not more than 50-70min travel time.
