Also on the VOW patreon they said that NJPW is close to signing another Japanese junior wrestler who they refer to as a major freelancer, and say that he has a match against a NJPW wrestler on a indie show but the match hasn't been announced yet.
They also say that "A NJPW source noted that this wrestler has fans within the company, including the wrestler he's working with. If this junior were to eventually end up being signed by NJPW, it would likely receive universal praise, both internally, and among fans."
