Hello ,

My wife and I are going to be living in the Yomitan area . How’s the WiFi ? Is it possible to get 1G fiber . If so for how much ? I’m going to be getting an apartment .

  1. I don’t know the situation there, but I will do some research when I go over there tomorrow.

  2. The poorly funded and maintained infrastructure, the fact that multiple ISPs just resell the same NTT network, and the non-guaranteed speeds (in Japan you pay for “best effort” speeds, not guaranteed minimums) means you might find it difficult to hit 1G consistently if ever.

    Tl;dr internet kinda sucks here regardless of how much you pay

    Internet access will definitely meet your needs.
