Moving (back) to Tokyo/Yokohama in semiconductor industry

Hi all, I would like a quick reality check.

Background:

I have Master degree on plasma process, have roughly 5 years of experience as in R&D process engineer roles in the semiconductor industry across 2 companies in Japan. I am now living in Japan with PR, I can work in Japanese (did it before, current work is mostly English but I still use Japanese often), and have N1.

Situation:

I currently have an offer to join a chip manufacturer in Singapore for also an R&D role. If I take up the offer, I would want to return to Japan in 2-3 years, specifically to Tokyo or Yokohama.

Questions:

In case I go to Singapore, how likely is it to find R&D or management or strategy roles in semiconductor industry around Tokyo or Yokohama in 2-3 years to facilitate my move back to Japan? What sorts of connections and/or skills would be recommended to help make the move back easier?
