In October I will travel to Japan for the 5th time but this time with my family.
I already rented a lot of cars in Japan but never for this much people.
I know that the most obvious thing to do is to use the trains, but for our itinerary having the car will help a lot.
Being in 7 people makes it a little bit of a challenge but that’s okay.
The main problem is the car…because we will be in 7 people and as you know 7 luggage (normal size).
I looked up on Nissan and Toyota rentals but I see that it’s very difficult to find the right car.
I saw the Nissan Serena or maybe the Toyota hiace but I don’t know how we will fit also the luggage in the car.
The Nissan Serena fits 8 people, so we will have an empty seat to use for the luggage that won’t fit in the back.
Do you think that it’s possible to do that? if the police will stop me, there will be problems?
Do you have any suggestions on the car to rent?
So I was wondering if maybe someone from this sub already have done a similar thing.
By the way, we will start in Osaka and finish in Tokyo
Do you have any suggestions or you think that it’s best to just use the trains and maybe change the itenerary.
