As our family of 3 (including me) enters Japan in a few weeks, we will need to initially stay for 2 weeks in a temporary accommodation like hotel/airbnb/other private accomodation (not a sharehouse), while we search and shift to a long term accommodation.
My wife's company reimburses stay expenses upto a certain amount (I am not sure of the exact amount but i think its in the range of JPY 7000-8000 per night), for max 14 days. Above that would be from our own pockets.
The location we need is Yokohama, specifically commutable to Yokohama station in max 30 minutes.
I checked the wiki of this sub and all the links given there, and eventually came to the conclusion that the only options I am left with is of either hotels or airbnb.
Other than these, I would like to know from people here if there are any other options that I have. We will need a private house with own toilet bathroom and kitchen.
Our dates are not fixed yet, so that is also a variable which is not allowing me to search for exact dates and find vacancies and their costs. I tested some tentative dates for 14 day period and found that vacancies for such long period are rare. Worst case I may even have to split our stay at 2-3 hotels over this period.
