Lost zairyu card – Koban slip enough?

Hello everyone

I recently lost my zairyu card and reported it at a koban. They gave me a small slip (遺失届受理番号) with a report number.

I’ve heard from some people that immigration doesn’t require the official certificate for the lost item, and that having the report number is enough in many cases.

Just wanted to ask:

– Has anyone here successfully reissued their zairyu card with only the slip/report number?

– Or did immigration specifically ask you to bring an official certificate from the police?
