Just a report: Recently upgraded car from a 2014 Subaru to a 2023 Subaru. Unfortunately, i was in a hurry as the A/C had failed, and didn't want be holding the car on April 1 and get dinged for the annual tax. Visited several different places, used goo and Car sensor to find the exact model that I wanted. I wasn't able to get the dealers to budge very much on the price of the car itself, they showed little flexibility on the extras/options, reducing price by only 2-3 万円。There was a vast difference in the trade in value of my old car, ranging from 20,000 yen to 270,000 yen.
