I have been living in japan for a few months now and I just received a letter from NHK asking me to pay for their services. I have a television but I dont have a ground or satellite cable that receives tv signal, I just use my tv with my apple tv device to watch netflix, hbo and so on. Do I still need to pay for this service since I dont use any NHKs services? And if i dont pay, can that affect me in future visa renewals?
