Moving to Japan as a Network Engineer/Cyber security consultant with sleeve tattoos and no degree

Greetings,

Pretty much title, but I'll elaborate below:

I'm a network engineering cybersecurity consultant here in the United States currently.
I have 12 years in the industry and most of my career has been as a network engineer working in extremely large environments for global manufacturing companies. I've recently moved into consulting/pre-sales engineering at a regional partner in the south-east of the US.

I have several high-level certifications: Cisco CCNP Enterprise, Palo Alto certifications in multiple technologies, Pro-level certifications in several other networking vendors for both cybersecurity, networking, and design.

I DO NOT have a college degree and have no intention to get one.
I have two full-sleeve tattoos. I know this could likely be remedied by just wearing long sleeves year-round.

I've been studying Japanese pretty diligently for around 7 months now and would put myself at the threshold between late-beginner/intermediate as far as Japanese ability, by the time I am looking to move I am certain I'd be N2/N1.

The core of my question is: how possible is it for me to find work in Japan? I'm not planning on moving for the next 10 years or so to have a sizable nest-egg in USD, but that'd put me at around 40 years old with over 20 years of industry experience.

Those in the IT industry or recruiting (if those exist here) what are my options?
My immediate plan was to try to get a job with a hardware manufacturer in the US and then request a transfer to Japan (to try and retain some semblance of salary) but I'm not opposed to also just finding a job with a firm directly in Japan, but the question then becomes what visa can I obtain and how secure is my living situation in the event I do find a job?

Thanks for the advice. I'm well aware that laws can change in the next 10 years, but I'd like to go ahead and weigh my options.
