Im worried about COE.

Hi, I’m planning to apply for a student visa in Japan (university route) and I want to understand how strict the financial requirements are for the COE.

Here is my situation:

• I have approximately 700,000–800,000 JPY in savings
• My father will be my sponsor with a monthly income of around 200.000 JPY

I understand that the general requirement is around 1.5 million JPY in savings, so I know I am below that.

My question is:

In a case like mine, is it still possible to get a COE if the sponsor income is stable and well-documented?

Has anyone here been approved with lower savings but strong sponsor support?

I’m trying to understand realistically whether this is borderline acceptable or too risky.
