wasn't sure if sims are handled differently by country, but if this would be better for an iphone specific sub lmk.
i've been using a sim free iphone 11 for several yrs now (previously android, hence i'm less savvy on the features), and instead of waiting for it to die (it's been a little quirky lately) like i have with past phones i decided to upgrade to a refurbished 15 pro max.
it just arrived yesterday, and i only wanted to check the battery health before doing all the things to change over. ofc this meant going thru a bunch of basic setup steps, and at one point i got a popup asking if i wanted to transfer the sim/phone number (my apple id recognized both phones). question is, is it rly that easy? once i have everything backed up or synced, can i just switch over myself and skip going to a carrier shop? or are there other reasons going in would be the better move?
