i got PA’d by a psycho road raging motorcycle driver.

i (23f) was driving a little over above the speed limit. this took place in kyushu and i live here on a visa. the road was empty.

there was a motorcycle in front of me. suddenly, he slowed down very quickly, and i obviously pressed the brakes and got a little too close to him. nobody got hurt and i did not touch him or his vehicle.

i went around him. however, he didn’t like that and began following me. when i stopped at a stop sign, he kicked my vehicle. i realized i was being followed and tried to get away from him, but it was impossible.

i stopped at a red light. he crashed into my car on purpose, got off his motorcycle, punched my car window, opened the door without my consent, and kicked me.

there was a witness in front of me who stepped out of his car to help me. the motorc driver apologized to me and left the scene. the police later showed up, we told them what happened.
do i file for assault or not? i genuinely don’t know what to do. i don’t want to cause any trouble, but i also feel like he should face consequences for PA’ing another human being.
