Over the years I’ve seen a lot of “I’ve met people with N1 that can’t speak japanese for their life” comments and I’m just baffled, since everyone I’ve met thus far seems to be performing in accordance with their passing level. Like, what does that even look like?
Entrance exam for JSL (Japanese Sign Language) Translator course in my city is next week. I’ll probably be OK but still nervous.
Saw this question on another thread and wondered the same (unless I keep missing them), but have the stupid question threads disappeared?
I’m going to try calling a therapist today to schedule an appointment, but I don’t know how effective an English speaking Japanese therapist will be compared to one that is also a foreigner. Well, I guess for now it’s better to just get this ball rolling rather than sit around thinking about it.
**Edit:** Hmm well this is disappointing. The place I wanted to go to apparently only starts to take new patients starting from the first day of the month. Of course all the slots are filled in by now. There was another place that offered English but 5500 yen for a 25 minute session doesn’t sound worth it to me.
I have already said this in another thread but I got engaged last week weeee
I was just looking at plants on hanahiroba and they have a ton of Australian natives on the main page.
Gonna pick me a Lemon Myrtle and grow some tea.
went to the ward office today to lower my NHI payment, and they say it already is lowered. And I’m like oh….seems a lot higher than last time *show them the bill*
“oh yeah, that is a lot! but this is pension, not health insurance” lmao
I just saw 保険 and in my mind thought “got it, health insurance”, never really realized 年金 is 年金保険. Just been really phoning in everything lately, unfortunately.
