
Metropolitan Police Department announced the arrest of seven men related to the Jan. robbery of a suitcase containing approximately 420 million yen in cash in a street in Ueno, Tokyo. The arrest includes Jinryu Kano (21), an executive of a subordinate organization of the Yamaguchi-gumi Kodo-kai and his acquaintance Koji Koike (47) on suspicion of robbery.
Other people arrested were a 27-year-old executive of a subsidiary organization of the designated organized crime group Sumiyoshi-kai, a 48-year-old executive of a subsidiary organization of the designated organized crime group Kyokuto-kai, and three other men aged 27 to 34.
