Can anybody tell me what these (epiphytic?) plants are called, and why they’re planted in almost every tree in Naha?

  1. “The plant in the image is a Bird’s Nest Fern (Asplenium nidus), which is an epiphytic fern commonly found growing on tree trunks” . – Google

  2. They aren’t planted, you can see these in all of south east Asia I think, they just grow on other plants naturally

  3. この植物は落ち葉を用いて自ら肥料を作り出すので一度根付いたら勝手に大きくなるんですよ
